While on lockdown, NY master producer and DJ François K has been delighting us with a series of daily live mixes, taking us on a trip through all genres of dance music. One of our favorites is this ‘No Wave NY’, where FK makes us dance in the NY nightclubs of the early 80's.

“There is no question that the early 80's in NYC were an absolutely wild and crazy time … I’m not even sure many of us understood what was really going on”, François tells the listener. “But it was like an indescribable fusion of styles, flashes of different sounds, the birth of hip hop and so many others incredible phenomenons that happen not just in music but in the entire art scene.”
